ViewSonic - Casting Pin Code Error

If a teacher receives a Pin Code Error when attempting to cast follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue. 

 

1. Check the Internet Connection of the panel. Make sure that the panel is connected to the DPSK and is not showing "no internet" or "limited connection." 

                 A) Turn the Wi-Fi off and then back on. 

                 B) Place a Ticket with NS to check the status of the DPSK.

 

2. Clear the Cache on the Panel. 

                 A) Clearing the Cache by completing the following steps. 

                               1. Open Settings

                               2. Click on System

                               3. Click on Storage

                               4. Click on Clear Cache.

 

3. Check for a vCastSender Update

                 A) Check to see if the vCastSender Application (on the computer) need to be updated. This update pops up automatically for the teachers. Check to see if this is popping up for them and update the application if needed. 

 

If none of these solutions fix the error, please submit a ticket to #AV and list all of the troubleshooting you have completed prior.
