Connecting a Laptop (Hardwiring)

Another method of connecting to the ViewSonic Panel is through hardwiring your teacher laptop or a Chromebook. The instructions below will teach you how to connect your laptop to the panel using the USB-C cord. 

 

1. Pull the USB-C cord out of the box. Your USB-C cord will look like the image below.

2. You will plug one end of the cord into the FRONT of the panel in the Type-C port.

3, You will then plug the other end of the cord into the type-c port on your laptop. It will be the same plug you use for your docking station. 

 

4. The panel will automatically switch over to your laptop once plugged in. From there you can use the panel as a secondary monitor with your class. 

5. If you push the Home button on the panel and lose your laptop screen, look for the Type-C button on the Home screen of the panel. It will be located next to the Wi-Fi symbol. Press that button and you will be reconnected to your laptop.
