The 3D Printer is available for check out to enhance your STEAM Lessons or add an element of STEAM to your lessons. If you would like to add this element of STEAM to one of your lessons and have questions on where to start, contact your Digital Integration Specialist, submit a ticket through Zendesk, or email instructionaltechhelp@indianriverschools.org.

 

 

Guidelines
  • We currently have 2 Robo 3D Printers available for checkout.
  • Due to the current demand and print times, we are only checking out printers to a teacher once per school year during predetermined date ranges.
  • If you would like to check out the printer a second time, please submit the checkout form again. If there is a cancellation, we will reach out to you.
Date Ranges
  • The printer will be dropped off on the Monday morning of your first date in the range and picked up the Friday MORNING of the last final date in the range. This means that the printer will need to be packed up and placed in the front office with a label "To IT at DO" on it the Thursday evening before. Our IT transport starts early Friday morning and we do not guarantee what the exact time the pick up will be. Pick ups start at 6:30am. Please ensure that the printer is ready and in the front office for pick up. We have a tight turn around to get the printer ready for the next teacher. Ensuring that the printer is available for pick up allows the teacher after you to have the full amount of time during their check out period.
  • You will receive an email the Monday of your final week with the printer as a reminder of the pick up on Friday.

    • 1/8-1/26
    • 1/29-2/16
    • 2/19-3/8
    • 3/11-3/22 (2 week period)
    • 4/1-4/19
    • 4/22-5/10
    • 5/13-5/31
Filament
  • We can provide one roll of filament during your check out period. The filament will be preloaded into the printer prior to it being dropped off.
  • The filament should last the entire length of your check out time. If you are given a partial roll of filament and run out during your checkout period, please submit a ticket to Zendesk or email: instructionaltechhelp@indianriverschools.org.

What if I need more time?

Unfortunately, at this time we are only checking the printer out to each teacher once per year. If you would like the printer a second time, you can submit the check out form again and if there is a cancellation, we will reach out.

Am I able to get prints without the printer?

Absolutely! We currently are only doing this for MyStemKits prints. Please fill out the Prints Only form located on the 3D Printer Home Page.

If you have any issues with the printer or prints, please email: instructionaltechhelp@indianriverschools.org and cc: erika.fischer@indianriverschools.org or submit a ticket to Zendesk as soon as possible.
